  • HSA Saliva detection test is a chromatographic immunoassay for rapid detection of human α-amylase to identify human saliva.
  • The enzyme α-amylase is found in particularly high concentrations in saliva and primarily serves to break down polysaccharides.
Seminal Fluid:
  • PSA semen detection test is a chromatographic immunoassay used for the rapid detection and identification of PSA (prostate specific antigen).
  • PSA is a glycoprotein that is produced by the prostate gland and is one of the major proteins secreted in seminal fluid (at concentrations from 2.0 x 105 ng/ul to 5.5 x 105 ng/ul).
  • The detection of PSA is useful in forensic cases because it indicates the presence of seminal fluid even in samples that involve vasectomized or azoospermic individuals.
Blood:
  • HEM human blood detection test is a chromatographic immunoassay for rapid detection of human hemoglobin (Hb) to identify blood in forensic samples.
  • Detection is based on the determination of human hemoglobin in the sample by a specific antigen/antibody reaction.
  • Hemoglobin (Hb) is a red blood pigment that is a protein complex occurring in red blood cells and primarily serves in the transport of oxygen throughout the body. As one of the most common proteins in blood it is efficiently used in the detection of human hemoglobin as a marker of blood.
  • The test kit is efficient in detecting aged blood samples at least thirty years old and consistently yields the same result.

Specifications

Saliva:
  • High sensitivity and specificity
  • Detects quantities as little as 1 µl of human saliva
  • No cross-reaction to blood, semen, urine, vaginal secretions, or menstrual blood.
  • Low-level detection from PBS, breast milk and human fecal matter may be observed.
Seminal Fluid:
  • High sensitivity test with cut- off at 0.5 ng/mL of PSA.
  • The guaranteed detection limit of the test is 2 ng/ml PSA.
  • PSA concentrations lower than 0.5 ng/ml may be detected and reflected by a weak test result line.
Blood:
  • Sensitivity: cut-off at 20 ng/mL human Hemoglobin
  • The test is capable of detecting hemoglobin in a concentration range of at least 40 ng/mL to 500 μg/ml.
  • May detect trace amounts of blood in other bodily fluids
